Massachusetts: New book exposes story of dangerous workplaces

A book has just recently been published that reveals a story that many people, even some residents of Massachusetts -- where this tragic event took place -- are not aware. Most people understand that there are dangerous workplaces and environments in most career categories. One tragedy involving the Deer Island Outfall Tunnel, cost two workers their lives.

Dangerous workplaces affect Massachusetts residents

A recent investigation involving farming accidents has drawn attention to the fact that there are many dangerous workplaces across the nation. Some may not realize that certain industries can be just as dangerous as or even more so than the construction industry. Safety programs are in place to try and improve these dangerous workplaces, but statistics show that 557 workers were killed nationwide in agricultural accidents in a single year. That statistic included other workplace deaths such as forestry and fishing accidents, all of which can affect Massachusetts residents.

Construction accidents in Massachusetts can be deadly

It is commonly known that Massachusetts construction sites can pose threats to the life and limb of workers. A recent out-of-state story demonstrates how residential work site construction accidents can be dangerous. According to reports, an out-of-state worker was performing construction duties on a home being built when he fell.
