Massachusetts bicycle accident results in 2 injuries

For most bicyclists, riding is a form of exercise or relaxation. Unfortunately, a bicycle accident can cause serious emotional and physical trauma. A recent Massachusetts bicycle accident involving a cyclist and a police officer has left a man hospitalized and several unanswered questions.

The crash occurred when the rider was hit by a police officer who was operating his work cruiser at the time. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital with what were originally thought to be non-life threatening injuries. It was noted that the officer was also transported to a nearby hospital as well. His injuries were also believed to be non-life threatening.

The details of this accident are still unfolding. As of now, it was simply reported the cruiser had a broken passenger's side mirror and that there were a pair of dark colored sneakers found in the roadway. As the investigation continues, the victim may want to consider his rights to file a civil suit. Even if citations are issued as a result of the investigation, monetary compensation could still be an option to help cover any accident related expenses.

Any Massachusetts rider seriously injured in a bicycle accident may want to look into their rights under applicable laws. When a person is going through the pain and suffering of a trauma, monetary compensation can help the person be able to focus on recovery rather than medical bills and other accident related expenses. With an understanding of one's rights, they can determine the best way to move forward with their case.
