Massachusetts man suffered potential brain injury in recent crash

A recent two-car accident on Route 70 in Lancaster resulted in injuries to three people. Thankfully, all three people injured are expected to survive the ordeal. Unfortunately, the injuries, including one brain injury, could pose long-term consequences for these Massachusetts residents, potentially including years of therapy and care.

According to reports, the accident occurred when one driver, a 23-year-old man, was headed southbound on Route 70 and struck an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle sustained a serious head injury requiring him to be transported to a local hospital via helicopter. The driver of the first car and his 23-year-old passenger were both injured and were transported to Clinton Hospital.

The condition of the injured parties has not been updated since the initial reports of their injuries following the accident. Police have not released any statements regarding a cause for the crash, or whether criminal charges will be filed. If it is found that the driver of the first car was negligent in any way behind the wheel, leading to the injuries, he may have to answer to civil claims, regardless of any criminal actions taken against him.

In Massachusetts, anyone seriously injured due to the negligence of another party has the right to file a personal injury claim against that entity. When personal injury claims are successfully litigated, the injured victims may be able to recover damages pertaining to their injuries, physical and mental anguish. A brain injury can have costly and emotionally stressful repercussions. A successful claim can greatly assist in the recovery process both physically and financially.
