Motorcycle accident kills Massachusetts woman

An accident in the early afternoon has taken the life of a woman and has left a man clinging to life at a local hospital. According to witness reports, the motorcycle accident occurred around 2 p.m. on a Massachusetts highway. A man who was near the scene of the accident stated that he saw a green car operating at a high rate of speed and cutting through several lanes of traffic. The man stated that he believed that the car cut off the motorcycle causing it to hit another vehicle.

The woman on the motorcycle, identified as being a 52-year-old woman, was pronounced dead. Her husband was flown to a local hospital. He is currently in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the other drivers involved in the accident did not sustain any injuries. However, the driver of the green car who is suspected of causing the accident has not been identified, having fled the scene of the fatal crash. Police have not indicated if they have any leads on who the driver was.

A motorcycle ride along one of many Massachusetts roads can transform into a horrific experience in the matter of seconds. Often, a motorcycle accident is the result of a careless driver not paying attention to where the motorcycle is positioned on the road. Even if contact is not made with the motorcycle, a driver who causes a motorcycle to swerve suddenly to avoid a collision can be held liable if an accident occurs. In this case, based on the information gathered thus far, it appears likely that the cause of this tragic accident may have been due to the erratic and perhaps reckless operation of another vehicle. If further investigation supports such a finding that driver may face liability claims based on allegations of negligence once he or she is located by authorities.
