Motorcycle accident changes Massachusetts woman's life forever

When a motorcycle is struck by a vehicle, the cyclists are generally seriously injured because there is no true safety restraint on the bike. In many cases, death is the tragic end result of a motorcycle accident. Unfortunately, a recent motorcycle accident in Massachusetts claimed the life of a man on a motorcycle and left his wife seriously injured and in the hospital.

A married couple was likely enjoying a relaxing ride on their motorcycle on a recent Sunday afternoon. When they left their home, they surely had every intention of returning home together. Unfortunately, their afternoon ride was cut short, and one life was taken and that of another was forever altered when a Toyota vehicle struck their motorcycle.

The 18-year-old Toyota driver was not injured. The two on the motorcycle, however, fared far worse. The 60-year-old driver was pronounced dead when he arrived at a nearby hospital, where his wife is currently in stable condition.

In such a tragic accident, the seriously injured wife likely has all she can do in attempting to cope with the death of her husband while struggling to recover from her own injuries. As the investigation into the fatal accident continues, the wife retains her right to turn to Massachusetts courts to seek financial relief from the burdens this motorcycle accident has caused. In addition to having the right to seek monetary damages for her own personal injuries, she also has the right to file a wrongful death lawsuit concerning her husband. Both actions require proof of negligence by another party in a manner that caused or contributed to the injuries and death.
